What can I expect?
After the first treatment, you may continue to see hair growing. Many hairswill actually fall out within several weeks. After several treatments, you will see a significant reduction in hair growth.
Are there any contraindications to use laser?
Patients on blood thinners or with serious illness generally are not candidates for treatment. Patients with very dark skin tones or with suntan are not good candidates because melanin blocks the laser light and increases the risk of effects on the skin. Pregnant or nursing women are not candidates for laser procedures.
How many treatments are necessary?
Hair has different growth phases. The laser only affects hair during its early growth phase actually disabling follicles that are actively producing hair. Since some hairs may be in the dormant phase, repeat treatments will be needed to treat these when they reenter the growth phase. Achieving the maximum reduction in hair usually requires four to six treatment sessions. Each follow-up session should be done between four to six weeks intervals.
Are all laser work the same?
