Microdermabrasion
Our skin is the largest organ in our body, and maintaining its health is just as important as taking care of the rest of ourself.
Skin works hard to protect us from the sun, heat and cold. Over time, the environment's harmful effects will begin to show on the outer layer of skin the world sees.
Microdermabrasion is effective in reducing fine lines, "crow's feet," age spots and acne scars. It stimulates the production of skin cells and collagen. Each treatment takes from 20 minutes to 40minutes. The number of treatments recommended for maximal results can range between 4 and 6, spaced from 1 to 2 weeks apart. In our Medical Spa we use is a strong medical grade microdermabrasion unit which provides excellent results.
How does it work?
The technician uses a device like a fine sandblaster to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. If you have blocked pores and black heads the combination of the small exfoliationg crystals and the action of the machine vacuum is great for the skin. More than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation.
